Is the City really serious about a great xc course at Central Park? It is suggesting a meeting with a few in the running community. I hope this is more than a pre election romance.
Buffs to the Pac-10? Link. Imagine, Colorado competing against Stanford, Oregon, Washington State, UCLA, USC...
My Vikes spy was at the Birmingham meet. Sarah Adams and Alex Johnson looked terrific in the distance racing, achieving PRs, while Falco was impressive in the mile relay. Spy predicts Falco will run 4:13 this year and go sub 4:10 at state next year. ...Anyone recall the last Foothill guy to go sub 4:10?

I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you're licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what. You rarely win, but sometimes you do. ~Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird

Some fairly recent Foothill League sub 4:20 1600 times:
Alfredo Coronado - 4:17.55 (06) Adam McDonald - 4:18:03 (04) Cody Massie - 4:18.14 (08) VHS record Luke Llamas - 4:19.0 (02) Salim BenMohamed - 4:19.88 (05) League record appears to be 4:08.21 from Ron Bahara (Hart 77) Canyon record is Dave Hartman 4:14.5 Saugus record appears to be 4:10.40 by Joe Devine (88) 4:13 would be a huge drop from the high 4:20's in one year. |
