For a year or two, the high schools had an OK course (with a great course promised by 2009) for the three race afternoons during the season. But last year, without consultation or scant notice, the City says runners inconvenience the park staff who are returning park vehicles to the rear of the park, and chops off about a third of the course and forces the runners into less pleasant trail with hair pin, less safe turns.
